Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Offseason app, the offseason.org website, and any related services (together, the "Service"), provided by Offseason ("we", "us", or "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Offseason. If you are between 13 and the age of legal majority where you live, you represent that a parent or legal guardian has reviewed these Terms and agreed to them on your behalf. By using the Service, you represent that you meet the age requirement and have the legal capacity to agree to these Terms.

Your Account

To use most features you will need an account. When you sign up, you agree to:

• Provide an accurate email address
• Choose a secure password and keep it secret
• Be responsible for activity under your account
• Notify us at support@offseason.org if you suspect unauthorized access

Creating multiple accounts to gain an unfair advantage in a league is grounds for termination.

Third-Party Accounts (Yahoo)

Offseason may connect to Yahoo Fantasy to import and sync league data when that access is available. If you choose to connect Yahoo:

• You authorize read-only access. You grant Offseason permission to read your Yahoo fantasy data using Yahoo's authorization system. We request read-only access and cannot change your Yahoo lineups, trades, or account.
• You represent you are allowed to connect it. You confirm the Yahoo account is yours and that you may connect the leagues you connect.
• Imported leaguemate data. Connecting a league imports data about the whole league, including other members' Yahoo display names and records. That import happens because of your action. How we handle it, and how anyone can request removal, is described in our Privacy Policy.
• Yahoo is separate. Offseason is independent and not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Yahoo. Your use of your Yahoo account is governed by Yahoo's own terms and privacy policy, not ours. Yahoo may change or end its API at any time, which can affect the Service.

Fantasy Features

Offseason provides current league views, searchable history and a record book built from imported data, plus tools including the Historian, Trade Machine, What-If, keeper planning, mock drafts, Almanac, Wire, Charter, Gazette, and league chat. A few rules specific to these:

• No money, ever. There is nothing to deposit, wager, or win. Offseason is not gambling, is not a sportsbook, and does not facilitate, encourage, or process betting or payouts of any kind. Do not use the Service to arrange real-money wagers.
• Commissioner tools. A league commissioner can rename the league, manage members, run dockets and votes, and keep private notes about managers for league administration. Commissioners agree to use these tools reasonably and only for their own league.
• Analysis is informational. Projections, values, trade reads, and simulations are estimates for entertainment and discussion. They are not advice, and outcomes are not guaranteed.

Acceptable Use

When you use Offseason, you agree NOT to:

• Violate any applicable laws, regulations, or third-party rights, including Yahoo's terms
• Harass, threaten, abuse, or impersonate other members
• Post content that is illegal, hateful, discriminatory, or sexually explicit
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems, data, or other members' accounts
• Use bots, scrapers, or automated tools to interact with the Service or to pull Yahoo data through us
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the app
• Interfere with the Service or other members' enjoyment of it
• Use the Service for a commercial purpose without our written permission
• Arrange real-money wagers, or manipulate standings through collusion or shared accounts

Offseason is meant to be a fun, friendly competition between people who actually like each other. Do not ruin it.

User Content

"User Content" means anything you create or share through Offseason: your username, profile emoji, league names, chat messages, keeper declarations, tool inputs, shared artifacts, and any other text or media you provide.

You own your content. By posting it, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to host, display, and distribute it within the Service for the purpose of running Offseason. We do not claim ownership, and we do not use your content to train models or for marketing. You are responsible for what you post, and we may remove content that violates these Terms.

Intellectual Property

Offseason, including the app, website, name, logo, design, and all original content and functionality, is owned by Offseason and protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the Service without our prior written permission.

Offseason is an independent app and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Yahoo, the NFL, any players association, sports league, governing body, awards body, broadcaster, or other rights holder of the events, teams, or data you can play with or view here. Team names, player names, logos, and other references are used for editorial identification under fair use, and the data providers we read from are credited in our Privacy Policy.

Termination

You may delete your account at any time from inside the app or by emailing support@offseason.org. When you delete it, your data is removed in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which also explains what happens to a league's imported data when its last Offseason member leaves.

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, are abusing the Service, or are putting other members at risk. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (Intellectual Property, Disclaimers, Liability) continue to apply after your account closes.

Disclaimers

Offseason is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. We do not warrant the accuracy of imported Yahoo data, third-party projections or values, event results, schedules, or any other information in the Service. We do our best to keep it correct, but we are not the source of truth for Yahoo, the NFL, or any real-world event, and third-party data can be wrong or unavailable.

Offseason is a free fantasy league utility and community service. It is not gambling, betting, a sportsbook, or a paid contest. No money changes hands through the Service, and we do not facilitate or endorse wagering.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Offseason and its team shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service.

Our total liability to you for any claim relating to these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in the past 12 months, which, since Offseason is free to play, is zero.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you. Continued use of the Service after a change takes effect means you accept the new Terms. If you do not agree, please stop using the Service and delete your account.
